Here\'s the front gull wing support nut before and after. It had the wrong thread pitch and I re-thread it on my 99 year old 16\" leBlond lathe.

I have polished the steel casings and cover and mag well to get brass plated. I had to revamp the mag feed and mag well. I also had to reform the cam to let the bolts by the mag before feeding forward so I could drop the end of the mag down closer to the bolt carriers so I woulsn\'t get a double feed. I also replaced the ugly bolts with some cap headed set screws.

Here I have the front brass nut attached to the gun. I have also found a brass door knob that will be polished and attached to the rear. I had to bore it out and rethread it to fit the shaft that I had to turn down and rethread too. It will look a lot better once the rest of the polished steel gets brass plated. I took the gun out to the range today and put about 100 rounds through it and it worked really good. I had a couple of rounds that didn\'t go off but at least it didn\'t jam on me. It jammed once I guess but I unjammed it real quick. Now to work on the tripod.

I\'ll post a link to some vids we shot today and yesterday when little bro gets home and does it. I\'m computer illiterate.

Here I am working on the trunnion mount and bushing assembly.

I started out with a couple of pieces of irrigation well oil tubes with bushings.

Next, I have it cut off and faced off in the lathe to the correct width for the yolk it will eventually be mounted to.

Here it is attached to the trunnion for looks. It will soon be cut in half and made like the ones on the guns you see on this site, or close to it.

Here are a couple of short vids of the gun. The first vid is loading the mag. The second I am firing it. I didn\'t have the headspace correct in the vids and one of the barrels didn\'t fire as you cansee in the video. On my gun if I attach the side support pieces and tighten the front brass nut then I can\'t tighten the rear action to set the headspace correctly. After the video I corrected this and will have to post the corection at a later date.

Thanks! Here is a picture of the yoke welded to the top plate. I\'ve started sanding it down to get it ready for the paint room.

Here are the beginnings of the leg supports. In the last picture I have part of the bottom of the tube cut out to accept the oak legs that will swivel.

Nice welding work, how did you cut out the yoke. did you use a torch and then grind to a finish that is how i have to do it. A flap wheel on a 4\" grinder works good for finish job.

I cut it out with a plasma cutter and then tacked on the pieces on the sides as I heated them and hand bent them. I used the plasma cutter just to keep the warpage to a minimum.

I need to get me a plasma cutter the sure make nice cuts. what kind of welder are you using mig ,arc or tig. I got a cheep 120v mig and a nice  lincon arc/tig 300 amp that is old, late 1970s but still works great.Need to get moor practice whit the tig welding. I got the welder free form my old job that went out of business.

I\'m borrowing little bro\'s 220 volt Century mig. .023 wire. On some of the thicker/bigger stuff I use the 250 Miller at work (mig). I\'m not really into the tig stuff. I do repair work with it, but don\'t use it enough to use it on this build.

Those plasma cutters are sure the cat\'s ass. Really cuts down on warpage.
