1874 GG Badge

I've been toying around with the idea of casting a scaled badge of the original gun to mount on my D&E GG. I recreated the original badge in Fusion360 and 3D printed it. It's approximately 1.750 in by .094 thick. The lettering looks pretty good but could be better. It's the best I could do on the printer I have. With a little cleanup I think it would cast out great using the lost PLA method. Thoughts?

I dunno why it wouldnt work! I think Cutter or Sparky had CNC'ed some out.... Might be able to get the code from one of them...

Myself, Cutter and maybe some others shared a bunch of ideas about a medallion but I don't believe anyone actually made one ((yet)

I will get to it sometime, other projects keep coming up.    I bought a 24Krpm spindle to mount on my bridgeport as a sub-spindle to do fine detailing and engraving with this in mind.

I have an original one that I got from Paul on my gun, it could be made with the lost wax process. I think that is how his were made. It is curved now to fit the receiver tube but could still be used, I think>>>>>

If I can clean up this 3Dprint, I can make a mold from plaster much like jewelry is cast. The PLA burns out of the casting to provide a perfect mold for pouring in the brass. I
