I turned the barrel Plate to 2.650 dia. X .250 back.

Then bored the Gear for a .003 shrink fit, I just put it in hot water to expand it.

Line up one tooth with a Barrel.

Here\'s a .dxf of the Adapter I\'m using.
I used 3\" Schedule 40 Brass pipe. ( 3.5 OD X 3.06 ID )
Again I recommend stress relieving before milling.
This piece will determine the Gear clearance.
( I shoot for .002/.006 )

Cutter,

I for one want to thank you for sharing this with us - you have inspired me with many of your innovations and are a great asset to this forum. May sound a little corny but I really mean it.

Thanks again,

Jeff E

Cutter,

What is the purpose of the the (3) 0.030\" holes in the face of the Feed Wheel Gear? Since these align with the cartridge slots are they used for timing?

Gary,
I spotted the first one for visual aid, but couldn\'t see it anyway
so left it off the others.

Jerry,

I was considering a pin in the root of the tooth of the Feed Gear at each cartridge slot and a matching slot in the tooth at each chamber in the ring gear to aid in the initial timing when the magazine is loaded. This would assure that any slot would line up to any chamber when the magazine is first installed. It would not exclude mistiming until the gears were rotated however.

Also I ordered the brass yesterday for the magazine and I have the Delrin around somewhere if I can just find it (likely end up buying it as well). Looks like you used a Shoulder Bolt for the Feed Gear Shaft.

I will have to put the gun on hold for now, I leave for Cuba on Friday and have a pretty brutal travel schedule for the next couple of months.

Cutter/Jerry,
I am helping a friend with his RG gun.  On the other fourm you made and showed a adjustable feed wheel or the original drum mag.  Do you have any drawings for that you would share?       I could wing it but hopefully you saved a copy.

Thanks much!
George
