I was going to call around next week to some barrel companies and check prices on some raw gunsmith barrels, meaning unfinished straight tubes with rifling.
I know will kreiger it took several months for my .260 barrels to be made. If possible I was thinking 37in blanks that could be sawn into 3 pieces and have enough OD to turn between centers to cleanup the od to the bore.
Green Mountain has some 1in od 24in barrels for $45 on their site. 10/22 barrels are approximately $35-40ea on eBay right now with shipping.
I will post if I find anything worth ordering.
