That is pretty slick.   I have a high speed spindle (45000 rpm max) for the bridgeport that I setup last year but have not experimented with engraving much other than large stuff with a larger ball endmill.   I have a friend who does a lot of 3d engraving with a router I helped him build using Mach3.   For now, I am concentrating on getting my 14x40 lathe retrofit to cnc completed, its almost there.   Then its back to the gat gun.

I just got my set of RGnG plans, I could use more help with modeling, I just picked up a fryer VB-40 cnc mill and an Emco pc turn 120 cnc lathe. currently running solidworks and delcam. Im pretty new to this but im thinking about changing to mach3 on the mill so it will be easier to add a 4th axis

My search for \"medallions\" showed up on this thread.  Is anyone producing them for sale?

If you provide me with a .DXF file, I will make it for you.

No charge, it\'s only a hobby

Thank you Cutter.  Not being a Cad guy, I need to get up to speed on a design.  Spent some time with Fusion 360.  Will do more research.

Thanks again

Tim, If you can find a good line drawing I can convert into .DXF

Just white background with dark lines

Spent some time with Inkscan and the trace tool.  Getting a .dxf file is no problem.   I was trying to trace a bitmap image I found on line without success .  Next I tried to develop the text from scratch, bending text and such.  Looks like the font is \"Century\" but when I downloaded the 64 bit version to a faster machine that font was gone.  Anyway, lots of time invested, the learning curve is so steep on Inkscape.  Most likely I will ask my nephew to develop the line art graphic for me.  So I\'m off that project for now.  Started to work on the carriage wheels today. I\'m better at cutting metal and wood than I am with a mouse and computer.  Thanks for the interest.
