Steel vs Brass follower on bolt

This one is for Cutter.

About a year ago I had asked Paul at RG-G about using a steel cam follower rather than the brass in his instructions.  He told me not to use steel as it would gall.   I didn\'t see this as a high pressure cam but I went with his experience. I see you are steel as part of your one piece cam and it must be working out for you.  Could you comment on how that works out for you?  Using a lube?

Thanks

By the way,  I just scored 1K rounds and we are going out to play on Fathers day.

I think Paul is correct using brass if you are following his instructions. (48-08)
But with proper clearance, good surface finish, different metals, and a little lube, I agree with you, (low pressure) no problem.
Just no soft leaded steel.
Galling occurs more offend with the same softer metals.
If you hadn\'t ask it wouldn\'t come to mind.
It\'s not an issue here.
