This gun puts out 3000 rpm at 400+ fps and the ammo is cheap 6MM plastic airsoft BB\'s. It weighs a hefty 35 pounds (all metal) just like the real mini gun and needs 12 volts to power the motor. The magazine holds 1700 BB\'s which is good for several short bursts. It is the next best thing to actually owning the real thing as far as electric goes. I shredded a coconut and a pineapple
with it at about 15 yards. Naturally the ends of the barrelks are bright orange color.
The internals work similar to gatling guns as there is a cam to cock each of the 6 pistons that are spring loaded in there perspective cylinders for each barrel. Each barrel fires once with each revolution of the cluster. There are some videos if anybody is interested google echo 1 mini gun.
Here are a few more pictures of the gun while disassembling it for examination.

That is an awesome toy. I wonder how much work it would be to convert to 22lr?? You say it\'s all metal, what\'s the quality like??

The reciever housing is cast aluminum and the quality is really good for a toy made in Japan. It came with a hefty price tag that I will have to keep from my wife for the rest of my life at 3,500. But that doesn\'t matter when you have the gatling gun bug crawling in my pants for the past 10 years or so. Besides, she got 3 different types of sewing machines in the last year so we are even now the way I see it.
It might be easier to put a motor on your cranked gatling then to convert this one. :)

That sure is a hefty price tag! I\'d love to put a motor on my gun but that would earn me 5yrs inside!! Only semi auto .22\'s allowed here. :-(

One of these years I plan to make the trip to Knob creek and fire a belt of ammo through the real thing. I can\'t imagine what the experience will be like but I am sure that I will be wiping tears and have dirty underware.
