45/70,  size? um well it\'s not conceal carry....LOLgoing to cut extractors today and start on the cover and magizine base.  It balances really well but yes it is a heavy gun, on the tripod it will push with finger pressure.  getting closer every weekend, I hope to fire primers next week.

Do you mean recoil plate? If so I did it out of one piece I think it alone weighs about 8 pounds I will get pic\'s of those parts when I tear down for ceracoteing.  If your talking about recoil I don\'t think I\'ll have a problem, I plan on using trail boss and a 325 gr cast bullet with gas check.
