Alternative Method

Here\'s an alternative method for mounting side rails

to casing. Instead of milling flats on the casing,

cut the 1.500 radius on the rails.


Formula -- diameter of the cutter divided by the desired diameter = the sine of the angle.


1.000 cutter, 1.500 radius, 19 deg 49 min

That\'s actually what I did also but I did it by coutouring the contact face using a ball nose end mill. I also thickened the block and wrapped the lower portion  around the case where the crank axle bores pass through to increase the contact area for soldering. The also allows the case side rails to be tied into the oscillator base.
