Is there a problem with the search on the forum or is just me. From time to time I get this message:

The following words in your search query were ignored because they are too common words: cocking switch.
You must specify at least one word to search for. Each word must consist of at least 3 characters and must not contain more than 14 characters excluding wildcards.

Well I want to search for common words like, box cam, cocking switch, breech etc. but it won\'t let me!

Hmmmmmm - Search did the same thing to me.

I think that something may be amiss. The search actually seems to be returning this message when there is a positive hit on the search words rather than returning the search results.

If you ask search for a common word that is not likely contained in the files, search seems to respond correctly and tell that the word is not found.

Dave - Do you have any insite into the search mechanics. I don\'t recall it doing this in the past.

Thanks Bruski, Actually I have seen those photos, I have looked at all the post on the forum for ideas and help. I confused about the offset on the inner ring.  The plans show both rings the some length but if the inner ring is offset down .125 how does that work? Also are the rings milled separately and than joined or joined and than milled on a rotary table? Someone on the forum was going to use a tube with a thicker ID as a one piece. Thanks

manatee,
Make both rings as the plans show and then silver solder them together flush on the top and bottom. The .125 offset is for when you are cutting the pieces that you will use in the gun. The larger piece that is used in the gun, is cut like you were cutting a pie from the center straight outwards from the center when viewed from the top doughnut shaped rings. The .125 offset is for the cocking switch piece which is cut .125 below the center dot of your pie outwards toward the pie crust.Don\'t worry about this to much as I cut mine both from the center outwards and they work great together. I did cut the cocking ring switch piece a little larger than the plkan shows so I would have extra metal to work with when fitting it to the recoil plate.
I hope that I didn\'t confuse you any more with the pie cutting. Let me know you need any more explanation on these parts. When you have silver soldered your rings together, they should look like the picture in the upper left hand corner of page 48-10 & 11.
